e3 Civic High Improvement Process
It is the goal to ensure that all stakeholders (students, staff, parents, community members) have a voice in sharing their ideas, concerns, and suggestions in order to keep our school in the cycle of continuous improvement. Therefore, here are the steps to take to share your voice and to have action taken toward your concern or suggestion:
Individual Student Academic Concerns
STEPS
- Stakeholder meets with the student’s teacher (s) and/or the counselor
- Stakeholder meets with a first line administrator (Dean or Director of Instruction)
- Stakeholder meets with the Executive Director
- Stakeholder completes the Universal Complaint Form (see attached) and meets with the Human Resource Advisor
- The Human Resource Advisor reports resolution/actions to the Board of Trustees
- Stakeholder requests meeting with the Governance Committee of the Board of Trustees to appeal the Human Resource Advisors action(s).
Classroom Suggestions and Concerns
STEPS
- Contact and meet with the faculty member.
- Stakeholder and teacher share the idea with a first line Administrator (Dean or Director of Instruction).
- Present ideas/suggestions to Executive Director as an informational item, or to get additional input, check liability and financial implications, or to bring resolution to an issue.
- Stakeholder completes the Universal Complaint Form and meets with the Human Resource Advisor and/or Executive Director.
- Human Resource Advisor reports resolution/findings to the Board of Trustees.
- Stakeholder requests meeting with the Governance Committee of the Board of Trustees.
School-wide Suggestions or Concerns
STEPS
- Stakeholder present ideas or concerns at the monthly School Site Council/School Advisory Council SSC/SAC, Monthly Parent Coffee with the Executive Director, Parent Institute Trainings, or any other scheduled parent meetings.
- If not available to attend the meeting, meet with a first line Administrator (Dean or Director of Instruction).
- Meet with the Executive Director.
- Stakeholder completes the Universal Complaint Form (see attached) and meets with the Human Resource Advisor.
- The Human Resource Advisor reports resolution/actions to the Board of Trustees.
- Stakeholder requests meeting with the Governance Committee of the Board of Trustees to appeal the Human Resource Advisors action(s).
