Beginning Spring semester, UCSD Extension will launch the partnership with e3 Civic High making possible many outstanding opportunities to advance the preparation of college competitive scholars for civic leadership and careers of the future.
During the eBlock module, scholars can now enroll in the UCSD Extension course, Introduction to Python. This programming course, offered free to our scholars, can ultimately lead to a professional certification making them competitive for high paying IT positions. Upon successful completion of this course, scholars will receive UCSD Extension credit!
In addition, UC Extension has saved seats for e3 Scholars to take Intro to Video Gaming Programming and Virtual Reality programming that will be offered at the Central Library during weekend sessions.
To continue to foster college competitiveness, UCSD Extension has offered free enrollment for our 11th grade scholars in the online SAT prep course. Prior data shows that scholars completing their seat-based SAT prep course have increased their scores by more than 50-100 points. This online pilot will be evaluated to determine if its a viable option to prepare scholars.
We are excited to continue to build our collaboration with UCSD as we move toward offering Undergraduate courses at e3 in the fall semester of the coming academic year.
Stay posted for updates!
